A History of Service

Mr. Gore’s passion is service to the community. Growing up in the Ralph Bunche projects of Detroit, he was fortunate to have parents who worked hard to support him and his 5 siblings, and who taught him to help those who weren’t as fortunate.

For the entirety of Mr. Gore’s professional life, there hasn’t been a time when he wasn’t deeply involved in giving back. While he was a still a law student in Chicago, Mr. Gore participated in the Street Law program to teach inner-city high schoolers. As part of the Chicago Law Foundation, he helped students find and participate in public service during the summer. When he returned to St. Louis to serve at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Mr. Gore still spent his weekends involved in community outreach, participating in enrichment activities for regional youth.

Following the unrest in Ferguson, MO, Mr. Gore was proud to serve on the Ferguson commission and assisted in making recommendations to move the St. Louis community forward. Mr. Gore is a founding member of KIPP St. Louis Public Charter Schools, and has recently served on the Missouri State University Board of Governors and the boards of Forest Park Forever and the St. Louis Community Foundation.

There has never been a call to action that Mr. Gore would not answer. He considers himself incredibly fortunate to have been given so many opportunities to positively impact the lives of individuals and his community at large, and hopes to continue to serve St. Louis in his current role as Circuit Attorney.
